Welcome to NHS East Riding Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression.
The NHS East Riding Talking Therapies service is the Lead Provider for talking therapies in East Riding. Working in partnership with other therapy providers such as; Relate, House of Light and Focus and Connect Health to offer free NHS services for adults aged 16 or over who are experiencing common mental health problems.


The information you give us is kept on a secure clinical system and will not be shared outside of the service unless it is needed to support your care and treatment or we have serious concerns for your safety or the safety of others. We are obliged to inform the relevant professionals and agencies of these concerns, in most cases we will always try to discuss this with you first, but if we cannot contact you or it isn’t possible we may decide to disclose this information.


The NHS East Riding Talking Therapies Service provides talking therapies to the public who are registered with an East Riding GP, the list of GP's in the East Riding are provided on this page. If you are registered with a Hull GP please register with NHS Hull Talking Therapy Service provided by CHCP, you can contact them on: 01482 247111 or via their website: letstalkhull.co.uk.

If you have a GP outside of Hull and the East Riding, please contact your local NHS Talking Therapies Service.


The NHS East Riding Talking Therapies Service provides access to evidence based therapies recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence(NICE) as part of a stepped care delivery model for problems such as:

Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Depression/Low Mood
Stress
Worry
Health Anxiety
Social Phobia
Specific Phobias
Panic Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Fear of Birth/pregnancy/post birth low mood

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
Counselling for Depression
General Integrative Counselling
Interpersonal Psychotherapy for depression
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing)
Couples Counselling and Specialist Perinatal Counselling

The service also offers the Employment Advisor Team (EA): this is free and available to anyone accessing treatment in our service.

They offer support with: Returning to work, remaining in work and finding employment.

This is done currently by telephone, email and text with an employment advisor. Some of the areas of support are: CV writing, planning phased return to work, discussion around mental health with an employer, in-work advice and support and signposting to other agencies.

Whenever possible please supply your NHS number to help process your referral.

Once you have submitted the referral form and questionnaires please allow two working days for the information to be processed.

If the information you provide highlights any significant risks to yourself or others, we will try to contact you to discuss, if we cannot contact you or it isn’t possible we may share this information with your GP.
