Bolton Talking Therapies provide psychological therapies for adults presenting with common mental health disorders (CMHDs): Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, and specific phobias. We aim to deliver evidence based therapy in line with the person’s preferred outcome and needs. We are not equipped to provide care for people:

  • Experiencing symptoms indicative of an on-going severe and enduring mental illness (SMI).

  • Presenting with severe levels of risk or functional limitation that would require team-based care from secondary mental health services.


Reporting levels of substance misuse requiring that difficulty to be the primary focus of intervention, prior to management of any concomitant CMHD presentation.
